  4. Over the last month or two, we’ve been working on something new. Something that, in our eyes, takes everything we’ve ever done - the sweaty gigs, the van trips with nervous bands, the videos of us wearing silly things - and stirs it into one big pot of new music showcasing goodness.
Tomorrow - Sunday 3rd June - we will show it to you.

  5. It’s a sunny Thursday morning. What to do? Watch this. It’s Miaoux Miaoux having a rave in a tiny pink caravan, at this year’s Wickerman Festival. You’ll notice it was Ally who definitely started the ‘here we f**king go’ chant. Ally is an idiot, but he is full of enthusiasm at least.
    TAPS AFF

  6. Oh! What’s this?? It’s the latest in our series of videos from Wickerman Festival, with our pals Glasgow PodcART. This is RM Hubbert - he is bloody wonderful. A special introduction from Weaver - showcasing the full effects of the weekend.

  7. Detour is back.

Since our last night in Bloc, we’ve been to every festival in Scotland, some in England, and even one in Texas.
We are planning some pretty big things. But it’s been too long since we put on a gig in Glasgow, and there are far too many incredible bands we want to show you.

We also want to show the new students in Glasgow just what a town they’re moving to.

If you’re new to Detour, and haven’t been before - then expect some of Scotland’s best bands doing full sets, acoustic acts, special guests, DJ sets, dancing, drinking and lots of banter, all in an intimate venue, all for free.

AND THIS TIME? - Cure your hangover with us. On Sunday afternoon, we will be putting on chilled out live music, serving discounted breakfasts, and giving you cheap Bloody Marys. Sometimes, the best part of the party is the cleanup in the morning.

It all kicks off from 9pm on Saturday, we’ll have some of Scotland’s finest musical acts, special guests, surprises, videos, competitions, and DJ sets until 3am. There will be a lot of dancing, there will be a lot of Balkan.

Detour is free. No money. Just turn up.

We are really massively excited about this. Tell your friends. The bands have got us all flustered. We have a summer’s worth of ideas and energy to cram into 6 crazy hours.

    Detour // Bar Bloc // Sat 17th Sept // 9pm - 3am // Free Entry

    THEN

    Detour’s Hangover // Bar Bloc // Sun 18th Sept // midday - 3pm // Free Entry

    lots of love xxx

  8. This is Bear Bones. They are from Glasgow. This song is wonderful.

  9. Detour is all about supporting new Scottish music. We are passionate about the bands that we discover in this wee country of ours - there are so many incredible artists out there, it’s bloody brilliant.
For the second year running at the Wickerman Festival - a quite mad jamboree near Dumfries involving fire, old punks, and 80s rock bands - we have been able to team up with two other teams dedicated to showcasing the best in new Scottish music - the Solus Tent team, and Glasgow Podcart.
The Solus Tent plays host to the most diverse, interesting - and dare we say it - best, lineup of all the ‘new music’ stages at Scottish festivals. We wanted to take a wee batch of the best bands playing there over the weekend, and do something a bit special.
Thankfully, we had the delightful Glasgow Podcart there to help us; record sound, organise stuff, and generally be amazing.

This is Citizens - a Glasgow band that will break your ears.

  10. This is Endor. They are bloody great.
